Gotham - You Forgot Option Three...
After taking control of "The Basement," a branch of an underground facility responsible for the harvesting and sale of human organs on the black market, Maria Mercedes "Fish" Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) resumes her meeting with Dr. Dulmacher's office manager, who gives her two options: Stay in The Basement and be killed with the rest of her followers...Or, give up her eyes now in order to live. In a drastic move, Mooney presents the office manager with option 3: Ripping her own eye out and stomping on it!
From Season 1, Episode 17 ("Red Hood").
Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie ("Southland," "The O.C."), Donal Logue ("Sons of Anarchy," "Terriers," "Vikings," "Copper") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("The Matrix" films, "HawthoRNe"), GOTHAM follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Executive producer Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the "CSI" franchise, "Nikita"). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.

Long Snake Moan. Towards the end of the performance, you will notice a slight jump between "Call me Lazarus." That's because the DVD splits into 3 VOB files. I also encountered an audio/video sync error at the start of the third VOB file. The slight jump had to remain. Otherwise, the encoded audio from that point on wouldn't have been in sync with the video.

Working for the Man. In this video, you'll notice a slight glitch between "pretty things get in my car." That's because the actual VOB file from the DVD splits into 2 sections, the latter of which contained a sync error, which caused the audio to become out of sync with the video. In order to correct that, the slight glitch had to stay in. A minor flaw that is easily overlooked by her intense p...

I never understood this bit; we all know of course it was Crawford doing the voice herself - Davis was unable to imitate it - but why for the most part is Crawford speaking with an English accent!?? She was really quite good at it too - even though it didn’t make sense. Yet ironically; just four years later, Crawford came to Britain to make a movie (Berserk) and her character was originally to be English - but they changed it to an ‘American in England’ - because she was unable to do the accent - yet here she sounds quite good unintentionally - presumably? Odd... Anyone else notice this?

This is the only reason why Jane, as much as she hated Blanche and living in that house, stayed on. It was never out of guilt about what she thought she did to Blanche. She did not have that type of conscience. She knew that Blanche was the "sugar sister" and could not admit that she could never have lived on her meager earnings as a child star.

Who is here from Shakespears Sister song Goodbye Cruel World. Siobhan And Marcella recreated this scene but changed the lines up like instead "But you are Blanche" its "But you are Marcella you are stuck behind this guitar". Go check out Goodbye Cruel World by Shakespears Sister and you'll hear them famous lines at the start. 😊

I know it's sort of the point and this was written and made years ago, and I'm sure the book it's based on sucks, but having the two versions of her be so completely and utterly different people in every aspect, even if implying that she 'became' her movie star persona creation in real life, is a little hard to stomach, nonsensical and extremely far fetched. Going from ballsy, sharp and articulate to intellectually challenged and beyond ethereal to the point of being somehow vacuous... You can seem or feel like both of course in life, and vulnerability takes many forms and guises, especially if you've had such a developmentally traumatic childhood and are alone in life without parents and a supportive family, especially back then. I get what they were doing but yeah, it's bizarre. Good viewing though. Artistic license I guess. Both great actresses though. I really like both of them and their work. If you disagree with something I've said, there's no need for personal attacks and venom. It's just the internet. Peace. And rest in peace incredible, magnificent Monroe. What an amazing, gifted, hyper intelligent person she was. How she captivated the world was unprecedented and her achievements are underrated in my humble opinion. It irks me how people still don't get all of this and can't contextualise in the era etc and accept that physical beauty and sex appeal are not mutually exclusive with genius, talent and intelligence. Love her. And I reeeeally don't think she wanted to be First Lady, on any level, even via psychosis or fantasising. I may be wrong, I just don't get that impression from what I have read, picked up on and pieced together.

That scene is really something. The pure expression of a psychotic and a lunatic. In a second, she turns from gloomy into a fury. The ways she hits the piano and the expression after that, almost an horror movie !

This is awful. There’s no evidence she had an affair with the president or with Robert Kennedy . This happy birthday song was practiced and rehearsed to the tee and every single person knew how it was going to sound and what it was going to be like when she got into the stage. She wasn’t crazy !

Miss Bette really want to receive that third Oscar, but in Bancroft was guaranteed the award. She played it on Broadway and did it on film. That’s one thing Miss Davis always said that’s not fair you get to do it for like a year on Broadway and then you end up filming the way you did it on Broadway but I disagree, but I will love to see if bettereceived at third Oscar and I don’t believe that Miss Crawford have anything to do with her not getting the Oscar because she wasn’t a favor in Hollywood anymore so who’s gonna listen to her someone wrote that she was jealous of Katherine Hepburn ,Katherine Hepburn was jealous of her. If you notice on UA-cam, you’ll see an interview with Bette with Mr. Dick Cavett. I did have it says on the DVD. He wanted both either Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis to be on. Of course, Hepburn said no BETTE came on first, and the ratings were so high, especially after dick asked Bette and she answered. When did you lose your virginity? It was all over the news media I remember and then all of a sudden Miss Hepburn wanted to be on the show but she didn’t wanna be on the live show. She wanted to be filmed by themselves alone and they end up doing two parts so she could upstage Miss Davis. Over the years, Miss Davis always complemented miss Hepburn and when Kate did her interview, Cavett, ask her what do you think of Bette Davis as an actor her and she was she’s good that’s it years later, Miss Davis changed her tune, and only said if I only had those high cheekbones of Kate❤❤❤
